Welcome to Congregation Beth El. We are so glad you stopped by to visit us. We are a small Reform Jewish congregation with a big heart located in Tyler, Texas. Tyler is in the middle of East Texas, about half-way between Dallas and Shreveport. We have been an active part of the religious landscape of Tyler since our congregational charter in 1887. We invite you to browse our website to learn more about our congregational history, our schedule of worship services, temple programs, read our monthly newsletter, ask our rabbi a question and more!
Shabbat services are currently being held ONLINE ONLY at 7:00pm each Friday night.
Join us on Zoom (for the most interactive experience). The Zoom links will be posted here, in our calendar, and on Facebook.
Anyone can join - but the service on Zoom is password protected - just contact Rabbi Katz for the password
(Beth El members - it is also in your emails.)
We will also be simulcasting on Facebook Live if you choose to join us there.
Join Rabbi Katz and many other rabbis throughout the evening of Shavuot (May 28-29) for Torah learning with new friends from across the country.
Rabbi Katz will be leading 2 sessions:
11pm (central time)
> It Is Not In The Heavens <
a study of a critical piece of Talmud
12am midnight (central time)
> Singing Through the Torah <
songs that take us from Genesis through Deuteronomy
When you register below, you can choose any session you like! Be part of this innovation offering for small congregations.
